CASE STUDY -FOUNDATION PARK, DUNDEE.
Disciplines: Uplift existing playing surface, excavations and base works to extend the playing area, remedial works to existing in-situ shockpad, new shockpad to extended area, install new 3G playing surface, replace existing fencing including installation of a new spectator barrier.
The Brief
DOE Sport North was approached by Dundee United Football Club for design solutions and the associated costs to extend and replace the existing playing surface with a new 3G pitch -tested and aligned with the FIFA Quality Pro standards. Their vision was to enhance Club performance by creating a high-quality, new 3G synthetic playing surface that players could train and play at all levels.
Build up and delivery
Following the tender process, Doe Sport North was appointed as main contractor.
The project was completed on time and within budget including consulting with our synthetic grass partner ensuring the highest quality playing surface was delivered and installed to meet the FIFA Quality Pro Standards.

The Results
The new 3G pitch has already had a positive impact providing top quality facilities for training. It also acts as a certified venue for the Dundee United Women’s Team and is used for Academy fixtures.
The introduction of the upgraded facility at Foundation Park has been an outstanding success, and it has been a positive experience working with Doe Sport North on this project.
